| Did you know? The main Locations where Willingale's can be found ? The most popular Willingale Christian Names? Our research has shown that the Willingales originated from Maldon. A review of the deaths recorded at the FRC in London, for the period 1837 - 1868 show that there was still a large concentration of Willingale's in this area, along with substantial groups in St Pancras and Epping. Most of the other instances of Deaths were in the London and Essex areas, although a few Willingales had spread further a field, two deaths being recorded in Hartlepool and one in Newton Abbot!
The table below shows the distribution of Willingales had changed somewhat by 1943 - 1968 . They are still mainly based in Essex and London, although groups are appearing as far away as Leeds and W Hartlepool. It's interesting to note that Maldon no longer has the largest concentration of deaths. Other locations where Willingale's could be found include Durham, Portsmouth, Southampton and West Cheshire.
We are in the process of cataloguing all Willingale births, marriages and deaths at the Family Records Centre in London and will be updating these pages as and when we get more information. This information is also available plotted on a map of the UK. Our research has shown that the following are the most popular Willingale Christian names:
