A meeting open to all interested persons will be held in the Willingale Room of the Lopping Hall, High Road, Loughton, Essex, on Sunday 30 June 2002, starting at 1300 and lasting for a maximum of 2 hours with the following purpose:

To decide whether to form a Willingale Family History Society (WFHS), and if the decision is positive, to take the first steps to do so.

Keith Willingale will take the chair for this inaugural meeting

The meeting agenda will be:

1. Welcome (and admin details)
2. Self Introductions – including reason(s) for interest and hopes for the meeting
3. Free discussion on merits (and demerits) of forming a society (possibly with a guest speaker)
4. Vote on whether to proceed. If in the affirmative continue as follows
5. Agree constitution of committee, based on:
• Chairperson
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Head Researcher
• Webmaster
• Membership Secretary
• Public Relations
• Etc.
6. GOONS (Guild of one name studies) – to join or not to join
7. DONM
8. AOB*
9. Toast in English Wine “The WFHS – long may it prosper”

AOB to be decided by time available and the wishes of those present, suggested topics are:
• Short talk on Thomas Willingale by guest speaker (if available)
• Objectives and priorities, Social activities
• Methods of conducting WFHS business – working groups, sub-committees
• Funding
• Membership – who, costs, privileges etc
• Branch structure (esp overseas)
